Halodi Robotics announces the signing of Dr. Paul Herz

Halodi Robotics, a leading robotics technology company, today announced the appointment of Dr. Paul Herz to the role of Chief Operating Officer. With extensive management experience spanning nearly three decades, Dr. Herz brings valuable leadership to Halodi Robotics’ executive team during a period of growth and strategic expansion. He will be responsible for several key areas for company including global manufacturing operations, supply chain management, operational excellence and customer support.

“Paul has joined Halodi Robotics with a wealth of operational and management experience from early-stage, mid-sized, and Fortune 100 companies,” said Bernt Øivind Børnich, Halodi Robotics’ CEO and co-founder. “We are thrilled to have a seasoned leader on board who is uniquely qualified to drive strategic initiatives for us as we expand our product line, broaden our customer base, and grow our operations internationally.”

Prior to joining the company, Dr. Herz was Director of Product Operations at Facebook’s hardware divisions leading operations, manufacturing, and quality in the areas of integrated home, augmented reality, and connectivity. He also served as a senior leader at Apple focused on Asia Pacific Operations for the iPhone, iPad, and MacBook product lines and has several years of experience in senior management roles at IPO and pre-IPO startups within Silicon Valley.

Dr Herz completed his undergraduate degree at UC Berkeley in Engineering Physics and received his doctorate in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He also holds an Adjunct Professorship at Curtin University in the Faculty of Business and Law, providing lectures in entrepreneurship and engineering, delivering workshops on manufacturing and global operations, and provide strategic advice to the University on industry engagement, capital fund raising, and product commercialization.

Halodi Robotics announces key initiative to pursue home and health care markets

Halodi Robotics, a leading robotics technology company, today announced plans to actively pursue home and health care markets with a fully integrated care solution including humanoid robots.

Building on the EVEr3 platform announced earlier this year, a safe, capable and affordable robot platform will form the key element in a fully integrated remote care solution that also include operator stations and secure communication channels.  Further details about the solution and initial pilot studies will be announced later.

To achieve the above, Halodi Robotics is proud to announce the hiring of two key individuals:

Mona Fjeld - Mona is a registered nurse specializing in surgical nursing from the University of South East Norway. Mona has 8 years of clinical experience and 10 years of sales of medical technologies from; among others, orthopedics at Smith & Nephew and endoscopic systems at Karl Storz. During the past years she has sold cobots from Universal Robots and logistics robots from Mobile Industrial Robots to the Norwegian industrial and health care markets.

Egil Utheim - Egil has an Electronics Engineer degree from NTNU Gjøvik Norway and B.eng (Hons) degree in Manufacturing Engineering and Management from the University of Dundee in the UK. Egil has 15 years of experience managing automation and robotics companies in the maritime, metal and food sector before transition into the health and home care market pioneering the use of cobots and affective computing for human robot interaction.  He brings a decade of hands on experience from start-ups in the Nordic health technology robotics market with an extensive domestic and international network.

Halodi Robotics is proud to announce the opening of a US office in Oakland, California. The company is located at Circuit Launch, a dedicated 31K sq ft, co-working space for electronic hardware startups, at 8000 Edgewater Drive, conveniently located close to Oakland Airport. Also at the same location is Silicon Valley Robotics, a non-profit industry association, supporting the innovation and commercialization of robotic technologies.

JANUARY 17, 2019

Halodi Robotics and Motion Control Products Ltd (MCP) have signed an agreement where MCP is authorized to resell and use the Halodi Robotics Revo1 line of motors to complement their extensive line of motion control products in the UK and Ireland.

Halodi Robotics appoints Future Robotix LLC. as distributor for North America. The Future Robotix team have a strong background in supplying components to the robotics community in the US and Canada, and is already up and running as a distributor for the Halodi Robotics Revo1 motor product line.
